The nations of the Middle East are incredibly varied, from the wealth of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, to the poverty of South Sudan and Yemen. Though community development is often most relevant (and most welcomed) in the poorer nations, even the richer nations are experiencing social pressures and undergoing tremendous change. Each nation needs to seek God's intention and move forward it.
YWAM has been involved in community development in the Middle East for over 20 years. We have built strong relationships with Government departments and other organizations. We have helped change the communities of many people groups and families and impacted how communities can see and initiate to transform their communities in physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. Many have felt and heard God's heart for them and for the poor.
We generally work under the banner of various NGOs (non-Government Organizations), and so in most nations are never known as Youth with a Mission. That means we can’t share our best stories with you because that would compromise those ministries and the people who minister in them.
There are many ways you could be involved.
